Completing my education while raising my young son was very challenging but also rewarding. Growing up I experienced anxiety from time to time and I was surprised how much speaking with a therapist allowed me to develop self-awareness and agency over my life. This sparked an interest for me in this work and a passion for creating safe spaces for people to explore their personal journeys. When I am not in the office, she can be found enjoying time at the gym, hiking, playing soccer, traveling, and watching her son play hockey and lacrosse.

Services

I promise to be there for you every step of your journey. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.  My experience enables me to offer holistic, individualized, psychological care. I treat a number of mental health disorders, trauma, and everyday life stressors, and provide a neutral ground to individuals, families, and couples.  My focus is to support you to heal, grow, energize, and become aware of your inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.

Talk Therapy

It helps to identify issues that cause emotional distress. Serve as a safe place to discuss feelings and emotions triggered by daily stressors, a medical illness, relationship issues, grief and loss, or the impact of a specific trauma.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness helps you focus on the present or "live in the moment." This helps you pay attention to what is happening inside you (your thoughts, feelings, sensations, and impulses) as well as using your senses to tune in to what's happening around you (what you see, hear, smell, and touch) in nonjudgmental ways.

Somatic Practices

Encompass a series of movement forms that can be drawn together through their shared focus on body awareness through reflection on movement habits, opening movement capacity and developing self-directed or personal movement styles.

Depression & Anxiety

Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. By taking a holistic approach to counselling and treatment, we are able to help you recover the motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.

Trauma & PTSD

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.

 Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy is used to treat a wide range of issues. It's often the preferred type of psychotherapy because it can quickly help you identify and cope with specific challenges. It generally requires fewer sessions than other types of therapy and is done in a structured way.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Combines the practices of cognitive behavioral therapy with meditation and a focus on relationships. Dialectical behavioral therapy aims to help patients overcome their negative thought patterns by allowing them to hold multiple perspectives on their issues all at once.

Sessions available for individuals, couples, and families.
